About the Author:

Dr. Gadiraju Nageswara Rao has retired as Associate Dean, Professor and University Head, Department of Statistics and Mathematics, College of Agriculture, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. He has more than 50 years of experience in teaching to Agriculture, Veterinary and Home Science students and has published 48 research papers in National and International Journals.

            He was awarded “State Best Teacher Award” by Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2000. He was visiting Professor to Temple University, Philadelphia, U.S.A. in 1998 and visited Australia, Philippines and Thailand on Study assignment in 2000 as Associate Dean.

            He guided 300 M.Sc. and 200 Ph.D. students in the faculties of Agriculture, Veterinary and Home Science in Statistical analysis for their thesis work as minor  advisor.

            He is author of text books “ Statistics for Agricultural Sciences”, Bio-Statistics and Computer Applications” and “Research Methodology and Quantitative Methods” published by B.S.Publications, Hyderabad, Telangana.

            He also served as ‘Consultant Statistician’ for 7 years for the world Bank aided project “Community Based Tank Management Project (CBTMP)” implemented in States of          Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from 2009-2016.

         Presently he has been serving as Professor of Statistics (on contract) in College of Home Science, Saifabad, Hyderabad, Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad since last six years.
