About the Authors:
Dr. Kutub Thakur (Rony) is Associate Professor at
the School of Cybersecurity and Information Technology, University of Maryland
Global Campus. He worked for various private and public entities such as the
United Nations, New York University, Lehman Brothers, Barclays Capital, Con
Edison Metropolitan Transport Authority, and City University of New York and
New Jersey. He received his Ph.D. in computer science with a specialization in
cybersecurity from Pace University in New York, an MS in engineering electrical
and computer control systems from the university of Wisconsin, and a BS and AAS
in computer systems technology from the City University of New York. He has
reviewed many prestigious journals and published several papers and books with
renowned publishers. His research interests include network security, machine
learning, IoT security, privacy, and user behavior. He is currently serving and
has previously served as the program chair for many conferences and workshops.
Dr. Helen G. Barker is Department Chair of
Cyber-security at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). Before joining
UMGC in 2020, Dr. Barker spent 18 years with Capitol Technology University,
retiring as CAO. Prior to her roles in education, Dr. Barker worked for 15
years in the private sector as a management analyst and resource training
specialist in the distribution industry in Washington DC, and 5 years as a
researcher with Virginia Tech working in child welfare and economic development
analysis. Dr. Barker achieved an MSBA, MS in Information &
Telecommunication Systems Management, and Ph.D. in public policy and
administration. She received her doctorate in Organizational Leadership. Her
research interests include evolving technical areas of cybersecurity, the
preparation of the current and future cybersecurity workforce, and
neurodiversity in cybersecurity.
Dr. Al-Sakib Khan Pathan is Professor at CSE Department United International
University (UIU), Bangladesh. He received his Ph.D. in computer engineering in
2009 from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, and B.Sc. in computer science and
information technology from Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh,
in 2003. In his academic career so far, he has worked as a faculty member in
Independent university, Bangladesh (2020-2021); Southeast University,
Bangladesh (2015-2020); International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM),
Malaysia (2010-2015); BRACU, Bangladesh (2009-2010); and NSU) Bangladesh
(2004-2005). He has served as General chair, Organizing Committee member, and Technical
Program Committee member in numerous international conferences/workshops like INFOCOM,
CCGRID GLOBECOM, and ICC. He was awarded the IEEE Outstanding Leadership Award
for his role in IEEE GreenCom 13 conference. Among various editorial roles, he
is currently serving as Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Computers
and Applications and Journal of Cybersecurity Technology, Taylor & Francis,
UK; Associate Editor of Connection Science, Taylor & Francis; Editor of Ad
Hoc and sensor wireless Networks, Old, City Publishing, and International Journal
of sensor Networks, Inderscience Publishers; Guest Editor of many special
issues of top-ranked journals. He is the editor/author of 34 books. He was
named on the List of Top 2% Scientists of the World in 2020, 2021, 2023 by
Stanford University, USA. He is Senior Member of IEEE, USA. |
