About the Author
Prof. C. Parameswara Murthy has been on the faculty of Osmania University since 1974 and as Professor of chemistry since 1992 and superannuated in December 2011. In addition to his excellent academic contributions to the student and teaching community, he also discharged administrative duties as Chairperson, Board of studies in Chemistry, Head, Department of Chemistry and Dean, Faculty of Science, Osmania University, Hyderabad. He was a Visiting Scientist / Post-Doctoral fellow at various prestigious institutions abroad including University of Karlsruhe, Germany (1980-81); Max-Planck Institute for Radiation Chemistry, Germany (1985-86); Ohio State University, USA (1987-89), Hahn-Meitner Institute (1993). He was a UNDP visiting Professor at University of Asmara, Eritrea (1997-98). He has 25 publications in Journals of international repute and authored & edited eleven books.
